The Ever Expanding Waist

With the rapidly expanding waistlines seen all around, it’s no wonder there has been so much talk about weight loss. By the looks of things, there needs to be “A little less conversation and a lot more action.” Contrary to what you may see on Dr. Oz there is no magic weight loss supplement. There are many supplements that may aid weight loss but nothing that will do it for you. The place to start is with lifestyle change. You need to make changes that are not only permanent but things that you can easily incorporate into your life. Throw the word diet out with all the junk in your pantry. A diet implies something that you will start and stop. Once you stop, what do you do next? This is where many challenges, cleanses, and detoxes go wrong. While the person that put you on the products is very passionate about them, many don’t know what to do next. Does it really seem normal, healthy, logical, or feasible to exist on 2 shakes a day forever? Is it a good idea to go multiple days on liquid alone? Do you know if you have hormone issues or food sensitivities? Do you know how those things could hinder your weight loss?  You need to develop a new and healthy relationship with food. All food is not created equal. Different types of calories will have different effects on your body. For example, 400 calories of lean protein and non-starchy vegetables will have a much different effect on your body than 400 calories of fast food. This doesn’t need to be a difficult process. When you are ready to change, it will be easy and natural. When you have questions we have answers just ask.
